Programme Description

The demands on managers within the healthcare sector are increasing. The industry is confronted with new technological and organisational challenges in an increasingly complex environment. The Healthcare Management Certificate Programme provides management competencies and leadership skills that are specifically tailored to the healthcare industry. The programme is taught by professors from the Department of Healthcare Management at the University of Cologne and by proven healthcare experts. Upon successful completion of all three modules, participants receive a certificate in Healthcare Management from the University of Cologne Business School.

Academic Director

Prof. Dr Ludwig Kuntz

Managing Director of the Seminar for Management in Healthcare, University of Cologne

Prof. Dr Kuntz is Professor of Business Administration at the University of Cologne and Research Fellow of the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge. He is Head of the Schmalenbach Society’s working group "Economics in Healthcare".  His research focuses on strategy, controlling, and management of healthcare organisations. He was Head of Controlling at the University Hospital Hamburg and responsible for information management at the University hospital Mainz.
